Te amo

What is love? the common saying about it is, love is blind, love is everywhere and many more. For me the origin of love is God. "God is love. 1 John 4:8".

My personal views on love is that, it is a mutual feeling that must be given to each other. It has sacrifices and trials but in the end you will realize that it was worth it. My best example is, the great love of my mama to our family. She love us so much, she sacrifice to work abroad for the sake of the family. For almost 10 years, she endured so many problems yet she still there an working for us. Everyday I thank God for giving a loving mother like her. She is my hero.

What about love as an affection to opposite sex? I've been into relationships before, but it failed, my last relationship it was 6 years ago, it only took a month. I don't know what's into me that other girls don't take me seriously, but enough with emo stuff and let's talk about the present because past is past. Before, i thought i will be alone for the rest of my life, but God answer my prayers, even though it took 6 long years, but I thank God because God gave me her. my special one. She is the one that made me feel like I'm the most handsome guy in the world, when i'm with her i feel like there are butterflies flying in my stomach that feeling of happiness. I love it when she hold my hands, kiss me and punching me (Panlalambing niya sakin yun. lol). That feeling of importance, She made me feel that i'm important. I love her and she loves me. Now i believe that dreams do come true.

I dedicate this song to her. :)

Moving Closer - Never the strangers

When you smile, everything's in place
I've waited so long, can make no mistake
All I am reaching out to you
I can't be scared, got to make a move
While we're young, come away with me

Keep me close and don't let go
Inch by inch, we're moving closerFeels like a fairytale ending

Take my heart, this is the moment
I'm moving closer to you
I'm moving closer to you[

Who'd have thought that I'd breathe the air
Spinning 'round your atmosphere
I'll hold my breath, falling into you

Break my fall and don't let go
Inch by inch, we're moving closer

Feels like a fairytale endingTake my heart, this is the moment
I'm moving closer to you
Inch by inch, we're moving closer

Feels like a fairytale ending
Take my heart, this is the moment
I'm moving closer to you
Moving closer... Closer to you... Moving closer...
I'm moving closer to you

Basketball never stops

Basketball has been my favorite sport since i was kid. Basketball for me is not just a past time or a hobby, it's a passion. I've been through a lot in this sport. It's been an up and down journey for me. let me share some of my experiences in the game of basketball.

I started playing basketball when i was in elementary. My biggest influence is my father. He is my first coach and mentor. He taught me everything i needed to know. When i was in High school i started to train for the schools basketball team. Luckily the team acquired me. I played college ball too. I played for STI college - Sta. Rosa for 2 years and a reserve player at San Sebastian College Recoletos - De Cavite for 1 year. It's been a tough road for me, because there are a lot of tall and good players. But i had success also, I remember scoring my first basket, it felt like i won the championship, literally. I also remember the gruesome training we had all those years, the sprints we ran, the weights we lifted and the drills we did repeatedly. The bond we made as team is treasured forever. In my first two years in college ball, we won back to back championships, for me even though i had limited minutes i took a huge pride as part of that team. Everyday of practice i motivate myself to become a better player, i always put on my mind that in order to be successful work hard. Being a varsity player has been a great help for me. Since i started college ball i have been a scholar and for us it's a big help not only for me but for my parents.

Through the years i realized that my career is not for playing basketball, that if i chose to continue to play, my education will be affected, I've seen so many players that did not succeed in playing basketball and did not finish their studies. And it seems i will not be selected to be a regular player, So i made up my mind to transfer school and focus first on finishing my studies. I don't regret the decision i made back then and i thank God, my family and friends for supporting me whatever decision i made.

Today, I play basketball with my classmates, friends and family and enjoy every minute of it. In outside competitions or leagues i go all out, i apply all my training and knowledge to the game. At the end of the day basketball is still my favorite no matter what, i will keep competing until i can. Basketball never stops!

Farewell to an historic Icon

As of today, July 10, 2012, The King of Comedy Rodolfo “Dolphy” Quizon passed away at age of 83, due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). http://entertainment.inquirer.net/48524/dolphy-passes-away

Dolphy played a big role in the lives of Filipino's. He made us laugh for decades, He filled our home with happiness. Philippine comedy will never be the same again.

He made me laugh for as long as I remember. The show "Home along da riles" was our favorite back then, I remember watching it with my family together, and also his movies; "Da Best in Da West, tataynic, Wanted: Perfect Father" and many more. Now I realized that most of Dolphy's movies are family oriented, which brings out the quality of Filipino culture. He demonstrated and show us how to be happy and to take life easy by his works, movies and shows, He is truly a great man and deserves to be remembered.

Thank you for the memories King of Comedy, Farewell!

Capturing life's greatest moments

Taking photographs is one of the best way in capturing life's greatest moments. Photographs can be a simple treasure that can last a lifetime. It's been a while since i started taking photos, it became my hobby and past time. Taking photos for me is very fulfilling, because you can see the world through your camera the way you want it to express. Based on my experiences in taking photographs, in order for you take perfect photos, you should be patient enough to wait for that perfect moment and when that time comes, click the shutter button and take the photo. In capturing perfect moments you should also consider the settings of your camera, the right exposure, ISO settings etc.

I want to become a professional photographer someday, a photo journalist, sports, animal, landscapes and events or just random photowalk. Other people says that it's in appropriate for a 6 foot tall guy like me to to take photos, they say that "Hindi bagay sayo yan!" but for me I don't care, i just want to take photos that's it. It doesn't matter what other people thinks as long as i like what i do it's alright. What's the sense of doing things you don't like, it's like trying to mix oil and water.

I just want to capture life's greatest moments by simply taking photographs. :)

Uniquely Singapore

It's been a year and still the memories, good times and all the happenings are still fresh in my mind. It's my first time to fly out of the country, and also my first time to fly. I admit, I freaked out when the plane started to take off, it feels like I'm riding a roller coaster which I don't like, but when the plane started to stabilize in the air, the mice in my chest calmed down. Manila to Singapore will take you 4 hours. The annoying part of it is that the seats are not comfortable because I don't fit, the legroom is too tight! We should took PAL or CEBUPAC i guess, because they have a wide legroom "just saying" but it's alright, the main purpose of the trip is in Singapore not in the plane so imma stop complaining now.

We landed in Singapore at midnight. Other students fell asleep after we check-in, but not us. After we check-in Gino, Jin (My roommates) and Myself took a night tour around the city "Nagpunta tayo dito para mag enjoy hindi para matulog"  I said to them. So we took a little trip of our own.

First stop, NEW WATER. It's the water treatment facility in Singapore. The place looks cool, there were a lot of Koi fish in the pond, I like to get one for myself and put it in my bag and take it home in the Philippines(If only I could I would). They also gave us a bottled water from the system. It tastes like uhm, water I guess.

Universal Studios
Next stop, UNIVERSAL STUDIOS! My favorite stop! We spend almost all afternoon in universal studios, we took all the rides except for the wild roller coaster Galaxy, because it scare the crap out of me. But roller coasters in universal studios is inevitable, why? We rode the MUMMY ride, we thought it's just a tour on the inside but it caught us off guard and turned itself to a freaking roller coaster! It was too scary to ride a roller coaster if you can't see nothing, I felt my stomach is going to burst out, but believe it or not, we rode 3 or 4 times because it gives us a lot of adrenaline rush for real. The experiences we gained was so great, we really had a good time.

After Universal Studios, we rode the Singapore Star flyer. The view of Singapore at night was so amazing, literally. When we we're at top you can almost see the whole country itself.

Singapore Star Flyer
One thing I love about Singapore is the environment, unlike here in the Philippines, people in Singapore we're disciplined even a small violation like littering will put you into a lot of trouble. Singaporeans take small violations seriously, so my advice if your going to Singapore, Don't act like your in the Philippines because you will get into a lot trouble, trust me. How can I say? There we're an incident involving me. When we land in Changi airport, I can't help but to take photos inside, the problem is that they don't allow foreigners to take photos inside the Pre-departure area where in you check-in, go to immigration and customs. After I took a photo of the area a little Singaporean dude yell at me and came running to me, I don't know what I'm going to do, am I going to kick his midget face or do nothing that's the first thought that came into my mind, but when he approaches me he just said "Delete that picture it's forbidden to take pictures here" then I said, "Okay". I thought that they will deport me back to the Philippines, whew! But don't get me wrong, Singaporeans are nice people.

In Singapore, you will encounter many races, such as Chinese, Malays, Indonesians, Indians, Koreans and even Filipinos. Among all of them, I like Chinese people. Why? Chinese people always smile and very accommodating. When we went to China town, Even Chinese people knows how to speak tagalog because they know they we're a lot of Filipinos in Singapore. That's what I called Adapting. That's why Chinese people are very successful in business field.

Mee Goreng
FOOD in Singapore was exquisite!! My all time favorite is MEE GORENG. It was good and very oriental. One of the main reason I joined the trip is to explore their cuisines. Everybody knows I love to eat, and I eat a lot, for real.

The Merlion
Before we go home we took a day tour around Clarke Quay Park to see the Merlion, The trademark of Singapore.

The trip was so great, I'm glad and blessed to be able to join and I'm thankful because God provided all the expenditures for me to join the trip. The trip took 4 and a half days, but will last for a long time.
